Francis has comprehensive experience across Investment Banking, Retail, Consultancy & Training and Mining. Prior to joining UMB-IHL, he was the Head of Corporate Finance & Research at National Trust Holding Company Limited (NTHC) where he provided leadership for the transformation of its Investment Management and Corporate Finance.

Francis joined NTHC from Strategic African Securities Limited where he was Manager, Corporate Finance and Investment Research. Prior to that he had worked in various roles including Consultant/Trainer and Assistant Accountant. He has over the years acquired rich experience in the areas of investment management, privatization, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions and financial restructuring.

Francis holds a BSc. in Administration (Accounting) from University of Ghana, Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from University of London and a MSc. in Finance and Investment from Brunel University, United Kingdom. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).

Edem possesses a wealth of knowledge and experiences across various facets within investment banking. Notable among them include fund management, fund administration and data management, portfolio risk management, pension planning and advisory. He has over the past 7 years served on advisory boards and fund administration assignments at national levels.

Edem holds an MBA (Finance option) from the Central University College, MA in International Relations and Diplomacy from the Legon Centre for International Affairs and Bachelor of Education in Population Studies. He is also licensed by the SEC as an Advisor Representative.

Prior to joining UMB-IHL, he was the Head of Pensions at FirstBanC Financial Services, where he trained and led his team to grow the pension portfolio to astronomical heights through many strategic business interventions.

Yaw joined UMB in 2016; prior to this, he worked as a Private Equity Analyst at The First Group, an investment consultancy and management firm, and manager of a private equity fund with focus on the finance, real estate, education, manufacturing and healthcare sectors.

Yaw was previously an Investment Analyst at Black Star Advisors, where he was responsible for identifying and evaluating prospective investee companies, and monitoring portfolio companies of the Activity Venture Finance Company – a venture capital fund managed by Black Star Advisors, with focus on the growth of Ghanaian SMEs in the agribusiness, manufacturing, financial services and FMCG sectors. He managed a portfolio of investee companies covering the FMCG, services and agribusiness sectors.

He also supported the Fund Manager in the management of the Christian Community Mutual Fund, and played instrumental roles in the advisory and consulting team of Black Star Advisors which provided services to local and international clients.

Yaw has experience spanning across private equity, venture capital, investment banking, fund management, advisory and consulting, and holds a BSc. in Business Administration from Ashesi University College.

Prior to joining UMB IHL, Prince was the Chief Investment Officer at Man Capital Partners Ltd. His experience at Man Capital Partners together with his earlier accomplishments as Senior Marketing Executive at First Banc Financial Services and Pensions Accounts Manager at Metropolitan Pension Trust formed his extensive experience in the investment industry.

With over 6 years’ experience in the investment industry, Prince has acquired essential skills in financial management, investment advisory and pension management, all of which have enabled him contribute immensely to the profitability and growth of the organizations he has worked with over the years.

Prior to his career in the investment and financial services, Prince also worked extensively at various research organizations. He is well organized, dynamic, resourceful, self-motivated and has good analytical and communication skills.

Prince holds in MSc. Financial Management from Amity University and BA Economics from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He is professionally qualified with a Claritas Investment Certificate from the CFA Institute, and a certificate in Pensions Management from the African University College of Communication. He has also acquired certification in the Stock Exchange Securities Course awarded by the Ghana Stock Exchange.
